This was a project I done in the second semester of my 2nd year on the degree course. We had to make a series of books taken from the Gardian's 'Greatest speeches of the 20th century' which was then to go in to a boxed set which we were to design and make as well. I was highly influenced from the lecture by John Hall, about ephemera, and had subscribed to be a member and receive a seasonal magazine. The idea for my box set, was for it to have the speeches designed as if they were documents of ephemera, with photos and newspaper replicas attached to give you a feel of what was happening at that time, when these speeches were being spoken.
